To introduce my newest Middle Grade, Young Adult, Teen adventure novel in the Sammy and the San Juan Express series — Presidential Bear — I had the pleasure of visiting Glacier National Park this past summer. Glacier is the setting for book two and it is carried in several of the park stores.
Presidential Bear takes Sammy on high adventure in Glacier National Park, when she is asked to attend a Presidential Conference on the environment. She dreams of a three-day relaxing vacation. Instead, she is whisked off on a hike, where she meets a handsome brown-eyed French man, a Native American Spirit-Boy, and a frighteningly funny grizzly bear. On her return to the lodge, she is caught up in a terrorist attack that leads to her kidnapping, and attempted murder. To save the President, and herself, she must choose between right and wrong, good and bad, and head or heart. Only her wits, and her new-found forest friends can save her.
Fellow tourists were kind enough to make a purchase of Presidential Bear, and ask for a signature — what fun. The highest compliment an author can receive is for someone to put down their hard earned cash for your work. Thank you to everyone I met.
